It’s been six years since the synth pop pioneers have released new music but this week Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark unveil their new album, Bauhaus Staircase. Ahead of the release it was great to catch up with frontman Andy McCluskey about all sorts from “rediscovering the creative power of total boredom” to how Soft Cell, Scritti Politti and OMD could’ve been a giant super group in a parallel universe. We talked about OMD’s UK tour which comes to London’s O2 Arena on 24th March and Southend Cliffs Pavilion on 17th March PLUS why Andy still has nightmares about a stylophone!
