Unity: The Song School unveils new music video as part of Hands Together Campaign

Back in the summer, Southend City Radio was invited along to witness the beginnings of an exciting new project at The Song School. Over the holidays and during the following weeks, the students would be working on a brand new original song and video as part of the Hands Together campaign.

Following the tragic death of Sir David Amess, the Hands Together campaign was launched by Project Southchurch in 2021, bringing the community and everyone from all faiths and backgrounds together in unity.

Inspired by the themes of the Hands Together campaign, The Song School students would work together to create an original song and accompanying music video.

This week, that video has arrived as The Song School releases their new and original song “Unity”

Below you can hear the song with an introduction from Louisa Strachan, Director of The Song School at the official video launch hosted at Twenty One, Southend.

The video was also created by The Song School and stars all of the students who perform and take part in the new song!

Not just a terrific song with a fantastic video, this whole project is a testament to the community spirit and the unity that the city of Southend is built on.

Well done to everyone involved!
