Despite fears the Southchurch Christmas Experience might have to be cancelled, Project Southchurch and everyone involved in organising this year’s event heroically turned a tangle of red tape into tinsel and brought Frostbite back to warm the hearts of everyone last weekend.
Hosted at The Plaza, 600 Southchurch Road, Southchurch came alive with festivities and artisan stalls packed with crafts and treats.
This year saw performers bring music, carols, dance and drama to an indoor stage, Santa popped by and an “Après Frostbite” was celebrated by many of the independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the Southchurch area.
There’s still time to take part in this year’s raffle too where you could win Afternoon Tea for 2 at Roslin Beach Hotel, ewellery from Lyons Jewellers, vouchers for Adventure Island, Sealife Adventure, Luna Grace Hair, The Old Walnut Tree, Aunt Sally’s Tea Room & Coffee Lounge, Grumpy’s Diner, The Frying Pan, Blades Hair Company, a £100 voucher for The Exchange Pub and one of three ASDA vouchers for £25, £50 and £75.
Tickets are £1 each or £5 for a book and available to purchase at Grumpy’s Diner, Evie Bleu, Aunt Sally’s Tea Room & Coffee Lounge, Clifford’s barber shop, Betsy’s Nails and Beauty, Blades Hair Company, Luna Grace Hair & The Exchange Pub.
The draw will take place at 7.30pm 12th December in the The Exchange Pub.
