As part of our ongoing mission to bring the power of radio out of the studio, our open mic tour promises to shine a light on musical talent at every level whilst visiting some of the best venues supporting our local community. This week we continue our quest with another instalment of Southend City Radio LIVE on our Candlelight Acoustic Night Tour.
In this stop on the Candlelight Acoustic Night Tour, we brought the magic of Hollywood to The Exchange in Southchurch with our first themed open mic night where we challenged our musicians to play songs from the movies! Before the title scenes had even finished rolling, they were dancing in the aisles and after some blockbuster performances and some Oscar-worthy sets, you’ll be glad we caught it on tape… well… digital!

Every Sunday night we’ll be hosting an open mic night at a venue near you and recording the whole thing for Southend City Radio LIVE!
As we tour the local area, visiting all the best venues on our way, we’re excited to bring the magic of live music, captured on our doorstep and broadcast to your radio.
The Candlelight Acoustic Night Tour will continue next week with Southend City Radio Live at Isla’s Bar in Westcliff.
