With lots to catch up on we sat down for a chat with Rob McAvoy, co-founder of Project Southchurch to hear about some of the events, areas of focus and struggles that face Southchurch, Kursaal, St Luke’s and Thorpe.
A proactive community organisation, Project Southchurch work with local businesses, local residents and local authorities to improve the area for everyone and in this interview Rob talks openly about many of the challenges that face everyone in the area.
From disheveled bridges and a lack of disabled access at Southend East station to the boarding up of The Kursaal, calls for a new health centre, an update on recent vandalism and a fire at the library to a rundown of upcoming events, there’s loads of useful local news and topics in this discussion.
