This year, the Leigh Folk Festival is taking a year off. Faced with the prospect of a summer without their festival, local residents will be delighted to hear about a three day event organised to raise funds for the Leigh Folk Festival.
We spoke to Heather Simmonds, minister at Fisherman’s Chapel in Leigh to find out all the details of what promises to be an incredible weekend featuring some outstanding local bands and musicians.
The festival will be on Friday 28th June, Saturday 29th June and Sunday 30th June at Fisherman’s Chapel in Leigh and tickets are free with a suggested donation to help fundraise for Leigh Folk Festival. Southend City Radio will be recording the event for radio play.
