Last week Project Southchurch invited Southend City Radio to their community meeting at Belle Vue Baptist Church. These regular meetings organised by Project Southchurch are a vitally important opportunity for local residents, businesses, organisations and councillors to participate in and lead a discussion on various community projects, issues and plans in the area.
As media partners, we were invited to record the discussion and are proud to facilitate and promote a greater engagement in community issues that effect everyone.
Speaking at the meeting were representatives from Southend Airport, Southend Museums, Southend Foodbank, Southend Museums, Essex Police, S.H.I.P. and Project Southchurch.
In addition, we have a recording of the Councillors Open Mic in which you will hear those in attendance say a few words on the topics and issues that directly affect Southchurch plus audience questions included the future of the Kursaal building and the plans to redesign the Queensway underpass.
